Hi friends - hope all good :)

Big thanks for all the love for Wil’s album - really has touched so many of you, so pleased as he’s an extremely thoughtful artist and put so much energy into this music.

The connection between the maker, the inspirations (in this case the road trip around South Korea) and you, the listener, is such a wonderful thing to contemplate - a deeply human and irreplaceable natural link we’re all so lucky to experience.

Now some news about my own music.

Something happened last year that completely altered my perception on everything, particularly how I think about and listen to music and sound.

To cut a long story short, in February I was diagnosed with lymphoma. I then underwent treatment of intense chemo and immunotherapy, which I’m happy to say was a success and I’m now in remission and continuing my recovery.

In those months I spent a lot of time reflecting during many deep listening sessions. This was incredibly cathartic and gave me a new understanding of my relationship to sound and its fundamental elements.

Born from that was my quiet details album, which will be released later this year. I’ll share more about that when the time comes.

It also taught me, in real and concrete terms, to make the most of the present moment. Also that every situation can bring positivity if we look for it.

So starting next week, I’ll be releasing a new long-form piece every month via my fields we found Bandcamp page - durational and focusing on interactions of harmonic structures over time, performed live to tape on an analogue modular system.

The full pieces will only be available on Bandcamp, and maybe other places you can buy music. I want this to be available to everyone, in the hands of real music fans.

Out 22nd January, with a listening party on the 23rd at 19:00 UK time - hope you can join me at the beginning of all this.

We’ve built a wonderful community together - although you didn't know it, you’ve all been a massive support and running quiet details played a huge part in helping me through it - so this is as much for you as it’s something I need to do.
