Hi friends - hope all good and happy new year :)

So pleased to announce that bringing in 2025 with a beautiful interpretation of quiet details, is the much-loved composer and artist Wil Bolton.

Out next Wednesday 8th January, digital and CD editions. As always the physical edition comes with the unique long-form version of the album and bespoke six panel digi-pack, with separate artwork and glass-mastered CD. Listening party Thursday 9th Jan at 19:00 UK time.

A modern master of deeply thoughtful, locational and reflective music - shown with a back catalogue on labels such as Home Normal, LAAPS, PITP, Dauw, Dronarivm, Eilane Rec, Fluid Audio, Hidden Vibes, Krysalisound, Audiobulb, Hibernate, Sound In Silence and more - Wil finds beauty in the world surrounding him, and draws inspiration from the textures and atmospheres that help guide his music.

South of the Lake is an album of serene wonder. Full of field recordings collected on a road trip around South Korea (from temples, nature reserves, tea gardens and more) and mixed with an ensemble of instruments and found objects from the country.

This, in addition to a range of electronic instruments, shows Wil at his creative best - bringing together these rich textures to create an album that evokes travelling through new landscapes and experiencing all the beauty the world gives us.

Wil’s combination of finely-honed melodic sensibility along with his expert ear in finding the most enchanting detail in the environment, have lead to a stunning album I’m so looking forward to sharing with you.
