Coming soon - qd29 ASC - Tales of Introspection
fields we found - resolve / relate 01 - out now
Hi friends - hope all good :)
Very excited to say that up next with a next-level interpretation of quiet details is the legendary James Clements, here as ASC.
Out next Wednesday 29th January, digital and CD editions. As always the physical edition comes with the unique long-form version of the album and bespoke six panel digi-pack, with separate artwork and glass-mastered CD. Listening party Thursday 30th Jan at 19:00 UK time.
I could wax lyrical for a long time about James’ path through electronic music - equally respected for his mastery of true underground dance music (jungle/drum and bass/techno and their many variations) as he is for his beatless, experimental and film composition work - an artists’ artist if there ever was one.
Add this to running some of most seminal labels of the past twenty-plus years and here we have a singular artist with all the skills and vision to deliver his message with the most impact and nuance.
Tales of Introspection is an album of incredible scope - beautiful and vast, full of meaning and emotion.
It’s ASC at his most reflective and this comes through so powerfully in the music - it takes a mix of pure talent and countless hours in the studio to be able to express yourself so clearly - James has both and I’m so looking forward to sharing this with you.
For now, check out some of his previous music - highly recommended exploring all the of back-catalogue:
Now on another note..
Please allow me to present the first in a new series of monthly releases from my musical pseudonym, fields we found.
Out now, also as part of the new subscription - get every new release, my back-catalogue, subscriber exclusives and more (huge thanks to everyone that’s signed up so far - very grateful :)).
Full versions of this series exclusive to Bandcamp and maybe other places we can buy music, the best way to support artists and keep music in the hands of real fans.
Listening party tomorrow, Thursday 23rd 19:00 UK time - you know I love a party and this is the first for my own music - hope you can join me x

To give some background - this is the first new music from me in nearly two years, and born out of a complete shift in my perspective on life and music.
Around this time last year I was diagnosed with lymphoma, and subsequently underwent an intensive course of chemo and immunotherapy.
Throughout this, and immediately before and since, there has been a lot of time to reflect; and much time to sit alone with my thoughts and, crucially, music and the sounds of the world around me.
My thinking and listening changed - and these new pieces, and my upcoming quiet details album, are an evolution of that.
Thankfully I’m now in remission so this represents a renewed commitment to my own music, and the importance of sharing it with the community.
It’s not possible to put this fully into words, so just take the music as you find it, and interpret it in your own way.
It’s an expression of my reality today, and will undoubtedly grow as things move on.
Long-form pieces for close listening.
Thank you for being here from the beginning.
