Hi friends - hope all good :)

For the last quiet details release of 2024 we have a mesmerising interpretation from the wonderful fraternal pair of Joseph and Luke Sanger.

Out next Wednesday 4th December, digital and CD editions. As always the physical edition comes with the unique long-form version of the album and bespoke six panel digi-pack, with separate artwork and glass-mastered CD. Listening party Thursday 5th Dec at 21:00 UK time.

Luke’s no stranger to followers of qd, responsible for the incredible qd03 Salt Water Motifs. A prolific producer of everything from psychedelic synth excursions to true dancefloor techno and electro for the heads, easily one of the most talented electronic producers of our time.

Joseph is a multi-instrumentalist and master shakuhachi (bamboo flute from Japan) player, having studied for many years under a traditional grand master in Hiroshima.

Together, with Luke on hand-played Ciat-Lonbarde electronic instruments (beautifully designed wooden devices) and fx, and Joseph on long and short shakuhachi, they’ve created something that’s a profoundly organic meeting of the human and synthetic.

Microtonal melody and harmony from both players combine with lo-fi resampling and looping, altogether making a deeply colourful textured sound-world and hypnotic improvised trip through each brother’s intuitive connectedness.
