Hi friends!
Hope you’re all well :)
It gives me great joy to announce the next artist we have to share their quiet details interpretation is the inimitable Brock Van Wey, here as bvdub and out next Wednesday 17th May.
With a discography spanning nearly two decades and a musical history going back much further, he’s forged a unique and highly creative path and created a musical identity that’s completely his own.
Tough to describe what this one means to me, Brock was one of the first people I asked to be a part of the label and his enthusiasm and support from the very beginning has been nothing short of incredible.
If you know his music you’ll immediately know it’s a bvdub album, it’s him at his most positive and deeply emotional - gentle and subtle moments juxtapose with huge walls of sound - nobody makes music like him, it’s an honour to release this take on the quiet details idea which hopefully continues to show the breadth of music we want to share with you.
As always, artwork made in collaboration with the artist, with us choosing the colours together then I create the image using mixed media and analogue photography - yellows, oranges and red were perfect to convey the feeling of the music this time.
A few shout-outs to some lovely people who’ve supported the album so far, check these links to hear track previews and also some more great music - highly recommend following all of them for their regular shows, music they make and more:

Huge thanks to all of them for the support :)
So excited to share this with you - the feedback so far has been amazing, more soon!
There’s a vast bvdub discography to dig into, here’s his most recent release on the always stunning Past Inside the Present as a place to start:
And here’s a world to enjoy:
Much love!
Alex
And..
While we’re here also want to give some love to people that’ve recently supported our other releases - please check them out, they put in so much effort putting these shows and words together so deserve all the support we can give x
Also huge thanks to everyone that support us by buying the music and shares our releases wherever on the internet and beyond - means so much, makes it all worthwhile and love to see the music out in the world!
Special mention goes to the new publication from Neil Mason and Castles In Space - Moonbuilding. Neil’s given us so much support since the beginning of qd and CiS are such an inspiring label, fantastic to see them working together - in edition three there’s a review of qd02 and some words about the label and our releases in the round-up.
Highly recommend picking it up for a cracking read and to keep on top of some of the best music around. If that wasn’t enough every edition comes with exclusive music, this time from the unstoppable Warrington-Runcorn New Town Development Plan - and brilliant it is too.
