Hi friends - hope all good :)
Extremely happy to say that coming next week with the latest interpretation of quiet details is the wonderful synthesist, sound artist and live performer, Loula Yorke.
Hugely admired for her deeply human connection to her modular synthesiser and ability to draw out beautifully musical streams of consciousness - here we see Loula fuse these electronic sequences with field and environmental recordings to create a series of mesmerisingly organic auditory universes.
speak, thou vast and venerable head traverses atmospheres that range from delicate and fragile, to incandescent and euphoric - and at all times texturally hypnotic.
Here we see exactly why Loula’s an award-winning composer - an expert improviser, you can feel her soul coming through every voltaic wave and entrancing atmosphere. This is kaleidoscopic and hallucinogenic music of the highest order.
It’s an honour to have Loula part of the series and so looking forward to sharing this stunning album with you - qd19 is out next Wednesday 19th June - first thing as always x
Bandcamp Listening Party Thursday 20th 19:00 UK time - hope you can all join us!
Artwork done in collaboration with Loula and the album mastered here at quiet details studios.
For now, check out her last stunning studio album, Volta, here:
Also, here’s the latest edition of her monthly mixtape - highly recommend following and picking this up each month, always fascinating and accompanied with a detailed audio description - another example of what a thoughtful artist Loula really is.
